Counselling

Counselling can enable people to recognise changes they can make to improve their life and/or relationships.  These changes might be big or small, but they can have a significant impact on your self-esteem and your quality of life.  Changes can enable you to interact with partners, friends or family with a new understanding, improving communication, relationships and wellbeing.

I am a qualified Integrative counsellor for individuals or couples, offering you a supportive and non-judgemental environment.  I will work together with you in a calm and sensitive manner, taking time and space to explore your thoughts and feelings, allowing a deeper understanding and a clearer sense of perspective of problems you may be experiencing.  It can be very helpful to talk to someone who is uninvolved with your personal life.

You might be experiencing family or relationship problems; bereavement; stress or anxiety; loss; depression; childhood issues; low self-esteem; you might be seeking clarity for personal growth;  or many other issues.

I do not aim to offer advice.  I will work together with you to help you to re-evaluate and discover the best way for you to make changes which can improve your life and relationships.

I am experienced in working with couples, and with individuals. I work from home in a confidential and relaxing environment in Great Dunmow.

The Integrative method of counselling allows me to draw on different models to find the best method of working with you as an individual, tailored to suit your needs, rather than adopting a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

Our initial meeting to discuss your requirements does not commit you to further sessions unless you wish to proceed.  If you wish to continue sessions we will arrange a regular time, usually weekly, to suit us both.

Sessions are 50 minutes in duration.  I offer short term or open-ended counselling.

Charges per session:
Individuals: £40 per session (£45 after 6pm)
Couples:      £55 per session (£60 after 6pm)
